Barcelona star Ronald Araujo’s current contract situation at the club has resulted in him drawing interest from other sides, especially from England.

Manchester United and Chelsea have been named as potential buyers over the past several days and are now joined by Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

A Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo mentions the Reds as his suitor and adds the Anfield side have shown more interest in him.

The 22-year-old was promoted to Blaugrana’s first team three years ago and has been a regular since the last month of 2020.

His current contract at the Camp Nou runs down next year and he is interested in continuing with the Catalan club.

Xavi’s side also want to secure his long-term future and the board’s idea is to offer him a fresh five-year deal.

But, everything is still open because the economic situation has an influence on Uruguay international’s future decision.

The same report states the South American’s entourage, Edoardo Mazzolari, is in Italy and is likely to arrive in Spain soon, where he’ll have an impending summit with the Spanish heavyweights to discuss his client’s renewal.

The first option for both sides would be to reach a total agreement over an extension, but with the likes of Jurgen Klopp’s side showing interest in him, the pressure is expected to be more on Barcelona.
