La Liga giants, Real Madrid are reportedly preparing to open talks with Toni Kroos over a one-year contract extension amid interest from Liverpool.
The midfielder’s current contract at the Bernabeu is set to expire in June 2023, and there has recently been rumours surrounding his future with Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
Both Liverpool and Man City have been heavily linked with the Germany international amid rumours that Los Blancos could be ready to let him move on during next summer’s transfer window.
Meanwhile, PSG and Newcastle United are also believed to be showing an interest in the 31-year-old, who has found back of the net once in eight games at club level this season.
However, according to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, Spanish giants are preparing to open talks with the experienced playmaker over a contract extension until June 2024.
Toni Kroos missed the start of the season through injury, however, has recovered to feature in his side’s last five La Liga games, in addition to their last three Champions League fixtures.
Real Madrid another star Marco Asensio has been also rumoured with a switch to Anfield with his contract situation yet to be resolved as well.
