Premier League giants Man Utd and Liverpool have reportedly expressed interest in securing the services of Mason Mount and Glen Johnson reckons he would jump at the chance of joining Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.

‘Mason Mount could definitely revive his career under German manager,’ the ex-Chelsea and England full-back told OLBG. ‘He still has a chance at Chelsea too, the bigger players need to raise their games.

‘So the door is not shut on his Chelsea career yet, but Liverpool would bite your arm off to get him and Mount would probably do the same to play for Liverpool.’

England international midfielder is facing increased competition at Stamford Bridge following the Blues heavy spending under new chief, Todd Boehly.

The American businessman has spent around £600m securing the services of Enzo Fernandez and Mykhailo Mudryk to west London.

Johnson says none of the Blues new additions are currently justifying their price-tags, however, expects them to ‘kick on’ given time.

‘At this point, no Chelsea signing has been worth signing because no player can justify their high value in just two months of playing for the team,’ he added.

‘They all could be, they all have attributes and quality to give, but no one can justify Enzo Fernandez and Mykhailo Mudryk’s price tag because they have not played enough yet.

‘I expect them to settle and kick on, and they will probably justify their price tags.’
