Liverpool tipped to make approach for Championship midfield duo

Liverpool have been tipped to make an approach for Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa or Matheus Pereira this summer.

Daily Mirror journalist Ricky Charlesworth, who primarily covers the EFL for the ‘paper, is the source of these rumours.

The reporter believes a move for either player or for Sheffield United star Sander Berge, would make sense for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Charlesworth has tipped all three players to be able to immediately make a return to the English top-tier after their team were relegated to the Championship.

There is no claim that the Merseyside Reds are actually interested in Pereira or Zambo Anguissa, however, there has been talks about Berge…

Eurosport claims that Jurgen Klopp’s side are keen on the Norway international, while Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport claim he could be signed on a knocked-down deal this summer.

West Brom’s Pereira and Fulham’s Zambo Anguissa would both be intriguing targets, however, potential interest from Liverpool is doubtful.

Liverpool lost Gini Wijnaldum this summer as Dutchman has made a switch to PSG after his contract expired at Anfield and adding a quality players in the midfield area for the cut-price deal would be a priority for the Reds.
