Former Premier League chief Neil Warnock has stated Crystal Palace wide man Wilfried Zaha is a ‘great fit’ for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
The 29-year-old star has been a top performer for a couple of seasons at the Selhurst Park outfit and continues to produce.
Following a transfer to Manchester United as a youngster, the Ivorian forward has been perennially mentioned with another big move.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Niel suggested that the technically-gifted player is perfectly suited to the Anfield side.
“His ability is second to none, unbelievable. Whilst Palace have him in their squad, they think they’re a Premier League club – he’s been the one world-class player on that side.
“As a manager playing against him, when he gets the ball, you’re always frightened. I think he would’ve been a great fit for Liverpool. Look at the lad they’ve just signed (Luis Diaz), they’re very similar.”
So far this campaign Zaha has netted nine times and picked up one assist in 23 top-flight outings.
Whilst there can be little denying his ability, all too often the £36m-rated star has flattered to deceive on the elite stage.
Reds boss are competing on those top stages time and time again, therefore it is perhaps little surprise that they’d look instead to the likes of Luis.
