Liverpool have been linked with securing the services of Sporting Lisbon wonderkid Nuno Mendes for quite some time and the latest reports are claiming that the Merseyside Reds have to pay £60 to lure him at Anfield.

Back in December 2020, O Jogo reported that, Liverpool made £20million for Sporting Lisbon full-back, however, Portuguese giants turned down the Reds approach.

As per the latest update provided by A Bola Portgueuse giants ready to listen offers for their promising defender but their asking price begin from £60million,

Mendes broke into the first team of Sporting CP last season and since that has established himself as key player for Portuguese giants that sit 10 points ahead of Porto in the League.

In 18 league games thus far, the teenage sensation has helped his side to keep 12 clean sheets.

At Anfield, Liverpool have a world class left back in the form of Andy Robertson, however, injury crisis at the Merseyside Reds has shown that Jurgen Klopp needs to think about the depth of his current squad and Nuno Mendes perfectly fits German manager’s demands.

Liverpool have signed Greek defender Kostas Tsimikas last summer, however, he has failed to challenge Andry Robertson for the starting spot.
