Liverpool full-back Neco Williams is reportedly keen to sign for Fulham on a permanent basis in the summer transfer market.
Having failed to displace Trent Alexander-Arnold in the team’s first XI, Williams sealed a loan move to the Craven Cottage outfit in the last knockings of the winter transfer window.
The 20-year-old star has made an immediate impression with his current side, netting two goals and setting up two more in nine EFL Championship outings as Marco Silva’s side lead the way at the top.
According to a report from Football Insider, the Welshman is now interested in securing a permanent move to the Cottagers, who will attempt to clinch such a transfer if they earn a promotion to England’s first tier.
The report adds that the Reds are willing to let the youngster leave for a sum of £12 million, with the right-back’s present contract at Anfield not due to run out until the summer of 2025.
In other news, Liverpool are allegedly set to beat Chelsea to the landing of highly-rated Celtic sensation Ben Doak.
The 16-year-old – a former product of Ayr United FC and Dalry Rovers FC – has made his breakthrough into the Celts’ first team this campaign after stellar showings at the youth level.
The report says that the Reds have fought off competition from the Blues to secure his signing, and the Scottish side will receive £150,000 transfer fee in compensation.
