Liverpool weighing up £35m bid for Bournemouth playmaker

Liverpool head-coach Jurgen Klopp is reportedly interested in securing the services of midfielder David Brooks from relegated Bournemouth

Brooks is one of those the Cherries are believed to be looking to cash in on to the several players in order to increase their books following their recent drop into the Championship.

The Wales international has played only nine games in the English top-tier last campaign after sustaining a long-term ankle injury in the summer.

However, Brooks showed what he is capable of in the 2018-19 campaign when directly involved in 12 top-flight goals and the Merseyside Reds may now make an approach for his signature.

The Sun reports that the Merseyside Reds could go as high as £35m with their offer for the 23-year-old playmaker as they look to bring in a right-sided midfielder.

Long-serving midfielder Adam Lallana has already departed from the club this summer and Xherdan Shaqiri is also expected to follow his footsteps in the coming weeks, freeing up space for Brooks’ arrival, while Harry Wilson has been also available for transfer ahead of the next season.

Tottenham Hotspur have also been tipped to make a move for the Manchester City youth product who has been tipped to have a bright future.
