Malmo were crowned as champions of Sweden this campaign and Anel Ahmedhodzic’s performances in their title winning season haven’t gone unnoticed.

Last month, reports from Italy claimed the centre-back is on Chelsea’s ‘wanted list’, while the Serie A giants AC Milan are monitoring him.

His father had accused his son’s entourage of blocking a transfer to Stamford Bridge, but this suggestion was immediately dismissed by Anel.

Chelsea and the Serie A outfit wanting the defensive prodigy is once again discussed in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

According to, Chelsea and AC Milan are ‘interested’ in the ‘talented’ player, who has a deal with the Swedish side until June 2023.

When asked if he is ready to change clubs when the transfer market reopens next month, the Malmo star said:

“I feel absolutely ready. We will see what will happen during the holidays. Until there is something concrete, I am focused on Malmo.”

Anel made these comments just weeks after his representative, Markus Rosenberg admitted “interest in enormous” in the player and Ahmedhodzic will listen to transfer proposals he receives in January.

Having completed the signings of Malang Sarr (now on loan at OGC Nice) and Thiago Silva during the summer, it remains to be seen whether Frank Lampard’s outfit will look to sign another centre-back in the winter market.

Elsewhere, Chelsea want to sign Bayern Munich star David Alaba in the January transfer market session, according to German outlet BILD.

David has six months remaining on his current contract at the Allianz Arena and looks set to depart the reigning champions of Europe. All Rights Reserved 2019
