The interest in Barcelona’s French central defender Samuel Umtiti is expanding across the Europe.
For many inside Spain, the former Ligue 1 star is the best performing defender in the LaLiga so far this season.
According to the Don Balon, the Premier League clubs like, Manchester United and Manchester City have expressed interest in Umtiti this month and they’ve also been joined by two more European giants.
According to the reports, the Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho decided to enter in the race for Barca’s star after he abandoned plans to sign Umtiti’s compatriot Rafael Varane from Real Madrid.
Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich and Serie A Champions Juventus have also sought more information about Umtiti’s situation.
Sparking the interest is not just Umtiti’s form, but also his relatively affordable €60m buyout clause in his current deal.
Samuel Umtiti established himself as key member and reliable defender for Catalan giants. He joined Barcelona in summer of 2016 from Lyon for a €25 million reported transfer fee.
Umtiti Has played in 56 matches so far and scored only one goal for the club. He won the Copa Del Rey cup title with Blaugrana last season. As an international level the former Lyon defender has played in twelve games for France and netted once.
