Jadon Sancho is drawing ever closer to sealing a move to Man United after a report put a new date on when the agreement should be done by. The 20-year-old forward is a top target at the Theatre of Dreams after rising to prominence in the past three campaigns with Bundesliga giants.
However, Borussia Dortmund insists England international is remaining with them next campaign. That’s because Red Devils failed to agree on a deal with them before pre-season began on August 10. Nonetheless, reports insist talks between the teams continue to take place.
Many outlets earlier this week claimed the “impasse over agents’ fees and wages has ended”. That represents a huge step forward, but the Red Devils of course still have to agree on a fee with the German cub. They are still believed to be sticking to their £108m price for Sancho.
Red Devils and BVB had agreed “to go about talks in a more respectful manner”. Now it looks a deal is edging ever closer between the two sides. There is renewed confidence in the Red Devils camp that Jadon will sign. As per the report, they state the Norwegian boss is expecting Jadon to be signed in time for their PL opener with Crystal Palace on September 19.
Red Devils have made slow progress on the transfer front this summer, bringing in just Donny van de Beek so far. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted the midfielder has been on his radar for a good number of years. However, a deal for the Englishman would not only shatter Red Devils transfer record, but it would also bring a long chase to a satisfactory end.
