Manchester United have reportedly made contact over a potential approach for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.
The 20-times English champions signed Wout Weghorst on loan during the winter transfer window, however, the Dutchman is viewed as a short-term option and is believed to return to his parent team Burnley after the season ends.
As a result, the Red Devils will delve into the transfer market this summer to secure services of a new striker.
Man Utd have been rumoured with a number of names, including Spurs record breaking forward, who was on the verge of depart from the club over the last two years.
Tottenham turned down approaches from Man City and Man Utd in 2021, ensuring that Harry Kane remained at the North London team, where he has recently become their all-time goal scorer.
Kane, who has now found back of the net 268 times for Spurs, surpassed Jimmy Greaves’s record of 266 goals with his strike against the Citizens last month.
According to The Sun, the Red Devils have made contact with Kane’s entourage via a third party about a potential switch to Old Trafford in the summer.
