Man Utd Midfielder Jesse Lingard is reportedly happy to stay at Man United for the 2021-22 season.
After starring during a loan period with West Ham United last campaign, it was reported that the England international would continue to look for first-team football over the summer.
However, a transfer elsewhere has not finalised, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer frequently insisting that Lingard is in his plans for the current campaign.
According to Sky Sports News, the 28-year-old is keen on committing his future to the 20-times English champions.
With no late transfer currently in the offing, the report adds that Jessie Lingard could be offered the opportunity to extend his deal past the end of this campaign.
Lingard has played just one games in the Premier League in recent weeks, coming on as an 86th-minute substitute at Southampton on August 22.
Meanwhile, Leeds United are closing in on a club-record £30m deal to secure the services of Manchester United forward Daniel James.
Leeds coach Marcelo Bielsa has been keeping close tabs on James ever since the Welshman’s move to Elland Road from Swansea collapsed in January 2019.
The 23-year-old forward subsequently joined the Red Devils that summer and has found back of the net nine times in 74 games for the 20-times English champions.
Leeds United were thinking about making a move during the last summer window, however, brought in Brazilian Raphinha instead.
However, with James facing an uncertain Manchester United future after Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival from Juventus is confirmed, Bielsa has gone back in for the 23-year-old.
