Man United reach verbal agreement over the potential £44m transfer deal

According to the Italian media outlets, Manchester United are one step away of sealing the transfer of Inter Milan attacker Ivan Perisic despite the fact they have yet to make a bid.

Inter Milan have already confirmed that the Red devils have opened talks with the club about bringing the attacker to Old Trafford.

The reports from Corriere dello Sport suggest that Jose Mourinho has reached a verbal agreement with Ivan Perisic as Man United prepare a bid.

The Old Trafford side are convinced Perisic wants the move, but are not 100 per cent sure they can come to terms with Inter.

Inter demand £44m for the signature of 28-year-old star and the difference in valuations could still derail the transfer. The Red Devils believe the quoted asking price is ridiculous for the winger and are worried Inter could stand firm.

San Siro side reportedly have an offer from Paris Saint-Germain while Jose Mourinho is understood to have already met personally with the Croatian winger.

The Special One is eager to add pace and width to a Man United side that has struggled to produce goals. The Red Devils finished sixth in the Premier League, but enjoyed success in the cup competitions as they won the Europa League and EFL Cup.
