As per the reports from Daily Record, Manchester United are set to challenge La Liga giants Real Madrid for the signature of Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar in the summer transfer window.

The 27-year-old South American is currently playing his football at Parc Des Princes following on from his 2017 record-breaking move from Barcelona. Neymar has managed to score 48 goals in 53 matches for the French giants, and also claimed Ligue 1 title last season.

The same sources also claim that Man United are already planning their summer signings with Neymar considered as their No. 1 priority. The Red Devils are reportedly willing to smash the world record transfer fee and pay staggering £230 million to get the signature of Brazilian superstar.

The Red Devils have also been told that Neymar would not rule out a move to Old Trafford and that he is becoming frustrated with life at the French club. Both Man United and Real Madrid are believed to be willing to meet Neymar’s current salary as well.

It is yet to be seen if the Red Devils will decide to make a move in the summer, but it is likely they will want to revamp their squad under their newly-appointed full-time manager, whoever that may be. Man United’s next club fixture is against PSG in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Neymar is not the only PSG player Man United are keeping close tabs on. It was reported that the Red Devils are also closely monitoring situation around Adrien Rabiot, who is widely expected to leave Ligue 1 champions at the end of the season.
