Man United are reportedly planning a move for Lyon defender, Joachim Andersen during this summer’s transfer window.
The 25-year-old centre-back has impressed on loan at Fulham during the 2020-21 season, playing 31 Premier League games, while he was also in action for Denmark at Euro 2020.
Andersen has three years left before his deal expires with Lyon, however, it is believed that the Ligue 1 giants would be willing to sell him for around €30m (£25.8m) in the summer.
The Red Devils are keen to secure the services of a new defender in the current transfer market and continue to be heavily linked with Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane.
However, the Red Devils are believed to be looking at alternatives to the Frenchman, and according to Foot Mercato, the team are showing an interest in Andersen.
The report suggests that Tottenham Hotspur are also planning a move for the defender, who was a second-half substitute in Denmark’s Euro 2020 semi-final loss to England on Wednesday night.
The Red Devils though, will allegedly not be moving for a new forward in the summer after securing the services of Jadon Sancho who will arrive at Old Trafford after the Euro 2020.
