Manchester United will likely be without their 26-year-old defender Eric Bailly until the middle of November following to a muscle injury.
The 26-year-old defender has made four appearances for the Red Devils this campaign, while he was also an unused substitute for the victory against Newcastle United earlier last weekend.
However, the Ivory Coast international is now set for a period on the sidelines after sustaining yet another significant injury.
Speaking after the Red Devils triumph at Paris Saint-Germain, Man Utd head-coach , Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told the club’s media team that the 26-year-old would not feature until the next international break.
Bailly will now miss important games against Chelsea,Arsenal and Everton in the Premier League and Champions League games with RB Leipzig, and Istanbul Basaksehir coming back into contention.
The 26-year-old defender has featured on just 15 occasions since the beginning of the 2019-20 season.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have reportedly identified Sevilla’s centre-back Jules Kounde as their transfer targets in January.
The 20-times English champions were rumoured with a new central defender throughout the current transfer window, however, ultimately focused on other areas of their team, securing the services of Dutch playmaker, Donny van de Beek, Uruguay pair Edinson Cavani, Facundo Pellistri and Alex Telles.
However, after conceding 11 goals in their three Premier League games Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is believed to be planning further additions in the winter transfer window.
