Real Madrid are reportedly keen to seal the departures of world-class duo Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema, who both started on the subs bench against Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-final.
According to the Don Balon, Real Madrid chief Florentino Perez wants to get rid of the duo this summer as he plans massive squad overhaul and he has agreed to reduce their asking price for his star players.
The news outlet are also stating that Perez valued both Benzema and Bale at €100M each, but now he is ready to sell them for €140m combined.
Both Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema have struggled for form this campaign, and this was shown in the Champions League after both were left out to Zidane’s starting lineup that faced Bayern Munich in the semi-finals.
Benzema has his a serious dry patch in front of goal this term, with the former France international forward, only finding the net five times in 27 Premier League games and an awful record for a player of his quality.
The Walse international superstar hasn’t fared too well either, with the former Spurs forward only scoring 11 goals in 22 games for the Los Blancos, a record that neither Real Madrid and the player aren’t planning to like it.
If the Los Blancos do manage to ship the duo out, it’ll be worth keeping an eye on who they bring in to the replace their world-class duo.
