Manchester United have reportedly joined Arsenal in the race for in-demand RB Leipzig forward Christopher Nkunku.
The 24-year-old has been in stunning form for his Bundesliga club during the 2021-22 season, founding back of the net 13 times and providing nine assists in 20 games in all competitions.
A number of teams, including Arsenal and Man City, continue to be credited with an interest in the French attacker ahead of the January transfer window.
According to German journalist Christian Falk, the Red Devils are also in the hunt for the forward, with the club’s new interim head coach Ralf Rangnick an admirer of his talents.
Falk reports that Rangnick tried to secure the services of Nkunku for RB Leipzig from Ligue 1 giants, Paris Saint-Germain in 2018, and the Frenchman eventually joined the German giants in 2019.
The ex-PSG starlet, who has a contract in Germany until June 2024, has found the back of the net 25 times and provided 36 assists in 104 games for the Red Bulls in all competitions.
Meanwhile, Manchester United and Arsenal eyeing a move for Serie A forward Dušan Vlahović who is open to leave Fiorentina ahead of the next season.
