The pathway to landing Ante Rebic is opening up for the Premier League giants Manchester United, according to separate reports in media.
Aggressive Croatia attacker apparently made an impact on Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho, who was at the World Cup working for Russia TV.
And this week Italian nespapar Tuttosport claimed that Manchester United have plotted an offer of €50m (£44m) to tempt Eintracht Frankfurt to sell their prized asset.
Frankfurt sporting director Fredi Bobic said, they were yet to field a bid for Croatian forward but revealed they would struggle to hold on to him if a huge-money offer arrived at their table.
In addition to that Eintracht Frankfurt are now believed to have pinpointed a potential replacement for Rebic.
German magazine Bild report the German club are keen on Sporting Lisbon star Francisco Geraldes and prepared to offer £4.5 million for the 23-year-old.
Potentially he would join countryman Goncalo Paciencia as a result of his move to Frankfurt earlier this summer.
League rivals Arsenal and the German giants Bayern Munich have also been connected with 24-year-old Rebic, who are now managed by one-time Frankfurt boss Niko Kovac.
