Chelsea £132million bid for Real Madrid winger Marco Asensio rejected, according to the Spanish media outlet Don Balon.
The News will come as a huge boost for Manchester United who are also keeping tabs on Asensio who has impressed at Santiago Bernabeu.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has turned down the offer from Chelsea which is believed to be the first official approach made for Marco Asensio.
The 22-year-old Spanish forward has found the back of the net for 10 times and provided four assists, despite seeing his progress at the Bernabeu stall a little under Zinedine Zidane this campaign.
However, Asensio is believed to have been told by Perez that his place at Santiago Bernabeu is assured going forward and has let other teams know that the player is not for the sale.
Asensio, who is contracted with the defending La Liga champions until 2023, has been tipped as one of a number of tops stars to leave the Los Blancos this summer as Perez plans a massive squad overhaul for the next season following their poor season.
Indeed, at one stage it appeared as if a move to the Red Devils was very much on the cards until Perez stepped in.
