Manchester United are reportedly among a host of clubs interested in RB Leipzig’s Austrian midfielder Konrad Laimer.

The Red Devils are targeting a move for the star ahead of the arrival of still Ajax manager Erik Ten Hag in the summer.

Konrad has been a regular force in Die Roten Bullen midfield for a number of terms whilst building up a reputation for his country at an international level.

Ralf Rangnick is a well-known big fan of Laimer because of his days as a director at the Bundesliga club and now, according to Ruhr Nachrichten BVB, the Premier League giants are keen on securing his services.

The German will possibly push for the signing of his ex-player due to his new role at the club alongside the new head coach.

United are planning to bolster their midfield options in the summer and could also be set to lose contract rebel Paul Pogba in the summer market.

Erik is set to be backed heavily by the management in his first transfer window and will be supported by the influence of Ralf.

Meantime, Manchester United are allegedly considering offering Marcus Rashford to the La Liga giants Barcelona as part of a deal for the Netherlands international Frenkie de Jong.
