Man Utd eyeing move for 22-year-old Bundesliga defender

Evan Ndicka is set to be a wanted commodity in the summer transfer window as Man United and Tottenham are among the teams interested in signing the Eintracht Frankfurt centre-back. Evan is a product of the Auxerre youth academy and moved to Frankfurt in 2018 after playing 16 senior games for the French club.

Ndicka made his debut for the German club soon after making the switch and has since gradually grown into a mainstay at the heart of the German club back-line. The 22-year-old defender has racked up 139 games for the Eagles so far, even chipping in with ten goals and nine assists.

The French defender has enjoyed a memorable 2021/22 season as he played a crucial role in Eintracht Frankfurt winning the Europa League by beating Rangers on penalties earlier this week. Evan’s rapid rise to stardom in Germany has not gone unnoticed, as several English teams have been keeping a close eye on his progress.

Now Man United and Tottenham have also hopped onto the bandwagon of teams interested in Ndicka heading into the summer. Man United are set to begin a new chapter under a new coach in Erik ten Hag.

And it seems like the Dutch manager is focusing on rejigging his defence ahead of the next campaign after a disastrous season this time out. Indeed, both Lindelof and Maguire have been poor, while summer signing Varane has struggled with injuries.
