Newly-appointed Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has allegedly set his sights on signing Inter Milan full-back Denzel Dumfries this summer.
Current Red Devils right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been strongly linked with a transfer away from the Red Devils in the summer, and that position is said to be high on the Dutchman’s list of priority roles to recruit in.
Denzel has been a key figure for I Nerazzurri this term, netting five times and providing seven assists in 41 outings across all competitions, and the player has a long-term contract at Simone Inzaghi’s side, running until June 2025.
However, according to The Sun, he looks set for a switch to the Premier League where the 26-year-old can link up with Erik in Manchester.
Ajax defender Noussair Mazraoui was said to be the tactician’s number one transfer target but the Morocco international looks certain to be moving to the Bundesliga and German outfit Bayern Munich.
Denzel joined the Serie A club from PSV Eindhoven last year for an estimated £12.5 million, but he is now said to be rated at around £30 million.
Elsewhere, Barcelona are allegedly prepared to accept offers for Manchester United-linked Frenkie de Jong during this summer’s transfer market.
