Manchester United are in the running to secure services of world-class defender Raphael Varane from Real Madrid, according to the reports.
The 20-times English champions are believed to have enquired as to the France international’s availability in the past, only to have been put off by the Los Blancos nine-figure price tag.
However, Varane is now into the final 18 months of his current deal and the Manchester Evening News reports that the Red Devils could make a fresh approach.
The report claims that a number of team are interested in the 27-year-old, however, no formal offers have been tabled ahead of winter transfer window.
France international defender has started 10 of the Los Blancos 11 games in all competitions this season and is a regular for Didier Deschamps side at the back.
Meanwhile, Manchester United playmaker Bruno Fernandes has reportedly emerged as a surprise transfer target for El Classico giants, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

With Bruno Fernandes possessing a deal until 2025, the Red Devils are in a good position regarding the player’s future.
