Serie A giants Juventus duo Douglas Costa and Merih Demiral have reportedly emerged as a surprise transfer target for Man Utd.
With the Italian heavyweights believed to be keen on securing a reunion with France international midfielder, Paul Pogba, a number of players will allegedly be allowed to depart from Turin during the next transfer window.
According to Tuttosport, that has resulted in the Red Devils asking Juventus whether they are prepared to sell Costa and Demiral.
Out-of-favour defender Demiral, a previous target of Leicester City, had played only seven games for Serie A champions this campaign before suffering a serious knee injury during the winter transfer window.
Meanwhile, Costa, who becomes 30 in September, has failed to impress since Serie A giants paid £35.2m for his services back in 2018.
The report adds that the Red Devils do not want the Brazilian forward to be included in any deal involving Paul Pogba.
Man Utd are keen on to strengthen every area for the next season in order to return in the race for Premier League trophy next season and both Demiralh and Costa could be an upgrade at the defensive and offensive end respectively.
