Man United have reportedly been told to pay around £35m to secure the services of Augsburg defender Philipp Max.
The left-back position has been issue for Jose Mourinho last term, with Ashley Young the latest to play on that spot stints while Daley Blind, Marcus Rojo and Luke Shaw also had their chances to impress Mourinho.
According to German outlet Bild, Max could the third signing for Jose Mourinho as the manager looks to find a long-term replacement for Ashley Young in the position.
The newspaper reported that the Augsburg defender, who assisted 12 times in the Bundesliga last season, would cost the Red Devils around £35m and is admired by Jose Mourinho due to his potential to help the team score goals.
Max has spent time with German outfits Shalke and in Bayern Munich’s academy teams before impressing at Augsburg.
Meanwhile, Everton head-coach Marco Silva has earmarked Man United defender Victor Lindelof as a priority £35m signing, according to the reports from Britain.
The Portuguese manager is believed to have handed over a list of summer transfer targets to Everton’ hierarchy after holding discussions with the club director Marcel Brands.
The Red Devils centre-back Lindelof is among those under consideration by the Merseyside Blues, with the Sweden international enduring a difficult debut campaign at Old Trafford.
