Verrati has been identified as their no.1 transfer target for the remaining of the summer and Mourinho sees him as their third summer signing.
The Sun claims that Mourinho is eager to strengthen his midfield option and sees Verratti as a perfect player to replace Michael Carrick who has hanged his boots on the wall.
The report goes on to claim that Italy international midfielder would cost around £75m and that the Red Devils have already made contact with the representatives of Paris Saint-Germain’s no.6.
The Red Devils will reportedly face competition from Serie A champions Juventus for Verratti’s signature, while the Catalan giants, Barcelona are also credited with a serious interest in the player.
