Man Utd head-coach Jose Mourinho is reportedly sick of Paul Pogba and pushing move for Toni Kroos to lure him at Old Trafford.
The £89m man was integral to France’s World Cup triumph this summer in Russia but he has failed to fulfil his form at Old Trafford.
And he scored a beauty in the final as France beat Croatia 4-2.
However, despite his success with his country, his club career has been in doubt following his terrible form.
The Frenchman fell out with Jose Mourinho on numerous occasions the last term and there have been reports that Portugues head-coach wants to replace him.
Mourinho is seriously fed up with his star man, who missed a penalty against Premier League outsiders Burnley on Sunday.
So much so, that he is already seeking out replacements following the recent interest from Barcelona.
According to Don Balon, Jose Mourinho has targeted the Los Blancos midfielder Kroos as the ideal man to fill the boots of Pogba and wants a deal sorted during the January transfer window.
Barca are long-term admirers of the France international and made an offer for him in the summer, which was rejected.
However, Real Madrid could steal a march on their La Liga rivals by using German playmaker to lure former Juve star at Santiago Bernabeu.
And that is the only way Kroos would be allowed to depart from Real Madrid according to the Don Balon.
