Paris Saint-Germain have begun talks with Paul Pogba’s agent about a potential summer move, according to reports.
The Frenchman is out of contract at Manchester United in June 2022 and could depart Old Trafford at the end of the season.
The Parisians have long been linked with a swoop for the midfielder, who is currently sidelined with a thigh problem he suffered in early February.
And according to Foot Mercato, the Ligue 1 heavyweights have been in contact with his entourage, the Italo-Dutch who represents Pogba.
Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo has hinted that the Red Devils need more height in midfield, an asset the towering star would supply.
The board may yet attempt to tie Paul down to a new deal, but it is unclear if the player wishes to extend his stay at Old Trafford.
Brought back to the club for a £89.3m fee five years ago, Pogba has yet to win a PL title with the Red Devils.
Real Madrid and Juventus have also been mentioned with the 28-year-old but the French side are considered the favourites to sign him.
The French outfit are expected to back Mauricio Pochettino in his first summer transfer market at the Parc des Princes.
Elsewhere, Juventus senior figure Fabio Paratici has affirmed that there is no doubt over Manchester United target Cristiano Ronaldo’s future with Bianconeri.
When quizzed by Sky Italia if Juventus expect to keep the Red Devils-linked Portuguese legend for the 2021-22 campaign and beyond, Fabio responded:
“Without doubt. “It makes me laugh, I never would’ve thought Ronaldo could be put up for discussion. We’re talking about a player who is the current top scorer in Serie A and has won five Ballon d’Or awards.
“He has already won a lot of titles with us and it’s a privilege to have him in our squad. We will hold onto him and enjoy him as much as possible. We’re very happy to have him with us.”
