Manchester United centre-half Phil Jones is allegedly being targeted by 13 sides for a winter transfer after returning from a nightmare stint out with injury.
The 29-year-old defender last featured for United in a 6-0 win over Tranmere in the FA Cup back in the winter of 2020.
But Phil made the matchday roster for September’s Carabao Cup defeat to West Ham United following a 20-month absence with a persistent knee issue.
And according to a recent report from The Sun, the Englishman is wanted by a whole host of sides in the Championship, as well as Newcastle United and Watford in the Premier League.
Wayne Rooney’s Derby County are also understood to be keen, but financial problems at the Midlands outfit may dent their chances of landing him.
However, United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to delay his decision on the player’s long-term future to wait and see if many injuries crop up in the active winter period.
Elsewhere, Manchester United are reportedly plotting a move for Leicester City’s Wilfried Ndidi.
The report adds that the club have identified the 24-year-old as a perfect alternative to Monaco prodigy Aurelien Tchouameni, who is also understood to be on the radar of Chelsea and Juventus.
