Premier League giants Manchester United have reportedly expressed interest in securing the services of Paris Saint-Germain defensive midfielder Leandro Paredes ahead of the upcoming January transfer window.

The Argentine, who has made a move to PSG from Russian giants Zenit Saint Petersburg back in January, has failed to stamp down a starting place under Thomas Tuchel, playing only four starts in the French top-tier this season.

Idrissa Gueye’s arrival from the Merseyside Blues over the summer has pushed Argentine international midfielder further down the pecking order, with the ex-impressing during the early stages of his time at the team.

According to El Intransigente, Norwegian manager has been alerted to the situation of Argentine international midfielder who has been valued at around £36m.

The 20-times English champions came under criticism in the summer for failing to add midfield reinforcements despite the exit of Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini over the past year.

Reports have claimed that Nemanja Matic, having fallen down the pecking order, might be keen on to leave the club and sign for Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Jose Mourinho who has replaced Mauricio Pochettino as the Spurs manager has been keen on to be reunited with Serbian midfielder once again.
