Manchester United ready to battle Chelsea for the services of Porto defender Alex Telles, according to the reports.
The 27-year-old defender has enjoyed a stunning 2019-20 season for his Portuguese team, founding back of the net 13 times and providing 12 assists in 49 games in all competitions.
The Brazilian defender could allegedly be available for as little as €25m (£22.8m) during the transfer window as his current deal at the Estadio do Dragao set to expire.
Chelsea continues to be heavily linked with his services, however, according to Correio de Manha, the Red Devils will ‘advance’ to secure the services of Brazil international ahead of the 2020-21 season.
Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams both have shared the left-back spot at Old Trafford this campaign, however, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is believed to be keen to improve his defensive options in the summer.
Manchester City have also previously been rumoured with Telles, who has played his Brazil debut earlier last March.
Telles has been undoubtedly one of the best options to strengthen the left-back position this summer and both Chelsea and Manchester United are ready to do their best to lure him in the Premier League for the next season.
Chelsea and Man Utd both ended season strong as they have secure place in the next season’s Champions League.
