Manchester United are reportedly keeping a close tabs on the development of Everton’s versatile defender Jarrad Branthwaite.
The 18-year-old centre-back has joined the Toffees from Carlisle United back in January 2020 and has played five first-team games for the Merseyside heavyweights, including four appearances in the Premier League.
The talented defender has joined Blackburn Rovers on loan in January and has already featured on seven occasions for the Championship outfit.
According to the Daily Mail, Branthwaite’s performances for the second-tier outfit have caught the attention of the Red Devils, who are now keeping tabs on his progress with the view to a potential move.
The report suggests that Man City and Everton’s arch rivals Liverpool have also been attracted to the Englishman.
The teenager has been a constant for Blackburn in the Championship since his arrival in the winter transfer window, starting and finishing each of their seven league games.
Everton’s another star Domenic Calvert-Lewin has been also rumoured with a switch to Manchester United following his impressive form in the Premier League this campaign, English forward has managed to found back of the net 18-times in all competition for Everton in 26-games.
