Man Utd new boss keen on to sign Brazilian forward from Ajax

Manchester United are battling with fellow Premier League giants Liverpool to sign the Eredivisie giants Ajax attacker Antony this summer, according to the Brazilian media outlet UOL.

The report says that the aforementioned clubs are in ‘dispute’ over the summer signing as both have made an official approach to put the feelers out on whether the star would be open to a transfer to join them.

It is believed that de Joden winger would favour a switch to the English top-flight over Spain after a further approach was allegedly made by Barcelona.

The 20-time English champions would certainly have an advantage on other teams interested because of the fact they have recently hired his former manager, and when fans look at the current frontman line at Old Trafford it is clear that Erik ten Hag needs him.

There have been problems with Marcus Rashford this term who has had an obvious drop in form and with reports of the academy graduate considering a transfer away from his boyhood club because of a lack of playing time, it could be the ideal opportunity for the North West outfit to inject a fresh perspective and a fresh creative outlet into the attacking roles.
