Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly held discussions with Fred to assure the star that he is part of his plans between now and the end of the season, according to the latest reports in the British press.

The Red Devils beat fellow Premier League side Manchester City to Fred’s signature in the previous summer’s transfer window, with 20-times English champions believed to have paid in excess of £50 million to sign him from the Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk.

The 25-year-old star has only made 10 EPL matches this season, however, and has only played 64 minutes of Premier League football since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer replaced Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho in December.

According to the United Kingdom’s highest circulation newspaper the Metro, Fred is in the plans of Norwegian tactician, though, with the manager recently insisting that the star would be given chances to impress in the remainder of the season.

The South American star, who is a nine-time Brazil international, was an unused substitute in Manchester United’s 1-0 win over Claude Puel’s Leicester City in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
