Man Utd Received Transfer Update on 22-year-old Forward Valued at €50m

Stuttgart will not consider selling France international full-back Benjamin Pavard this summer but could be willing to work on a deal over a possible exit from the club next year.

The 22-year-old defender, has quietly risen to prominence in Germany after his exit from Lille back in 2016, earning a spot in Didier Deschamps’ 23-man squad.

While he spent most of the 2017-18 campaign operating as a centre-half, he has started three games for France at the world-cup tournament, grabbing the headlines with a stunning goal in 4-3 victory against Argentina.

Manchester United are reportedly among the clubs that have expressed interest in 22-year-old full-back while Arsenal are also in the hunt for his signature.

Stuttgart’s domestic rivals Borussia Dortmund are also believed to be keeping tabs on Pavard’s signature.

Benjamin was already the focus of the big clubs as a Bundesliga player,’ Stuttgart sporting director Michael Reschke told Stuttgarter Nachrichten.

‘That has now increased once again. ‘We will definitely not sell Benjamin Pavard this year for €50m. We will do everything to ensure that he plays with us for another year.

’ Stuttgart are realistic over their hopes of retaining their player however and an exit is likely to take place next summer.

Reschke that the team hold talks over such a move sooner rather than later, adding:

‘We are ready to find a solution for 1 July 2019. With a club that works cleanly and correctly with us.’
