Man Utd considering a move for Bundesliga No.5 defender

Chelsea and Man Utd are both considering a move for German giants, Bayern Munich full-back Benjamin Pavard, although the likes of Juventus and Atletico Madrid are also circling around him.

The 26-year-old defender is reportedly keen for a new opportunity away from Bayern Munich, partly as he wishes to play at centre-back and has instead been picked regularly at right-back for the Bavarians.

French defender has played 36 games in all competitions last term, however, with the arrivals of right-back Noussair Mazraoui from Ajax and Matthijs de Ligt from Serie A giants, Juventus have raised the possibility that he will have fewer chances in both positions.

French publication L’Equipe claim that the quartet of the Red Devils and the Blues are all interested in taking advantage of the situation, however, the Premier League teams may have disadvantages in the pursuit.

The West London giants have already brought in centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly and continue to pursue long-term target Jules Kounde, while Presnal Kimpembe is also on their wishlist.

Manchester United have already agreed on a deal for Lisandro Martinez, meaning they now have the Argentinian along with Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane as centre-back options.

The 20-times English champions, head-coach Erik ten Hag may be keen to add Pavard to his possibilities at right-back, however, that is not where the Frenchman wants to play.

The World Cup winning defender still has two years left on his current deal at Bayern Munich and the team are in no rush to sell the versatile defender, so it would take a substantial offer to tempt the German giants into making a deal.

Man Utd interested in the signing 26-year-old Inter Milan defender

Manchester United are reportedly interested in securing the services of Inter Milan’s right-sided defender Denzel Dumfries.

The Dutchman still has three years left to run on his current deal after joining Serie A giants, Inter Milan from Dutch giants, PSV Eindhoven earlier last summer.

However, he could be on his way out of San Siro in the current transfer window, with the Red Deivls weighing up a move for the 26-year-old defender as a Erik Ten Hag is still keen on strengthening his backline ahead of the 2022/23 season.

According to The Sun, the 20-times English champions will attempt to secure the services of Dumfries if they find a new team for Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer.

Erik ten Hag is reportedly prepared to listen to offer for Wan-Bissaka, which would open up a space on the right side of the defence.

Dumfries can play as a right-back or wing-back, and the Netherlands international would also offer competition to Diego Dalot.

Inter Milen currently value their star player at £34m, however, the report claims that the Italian giants would be open to offers.

Dumfries enjoyed a successful campaign with Inter Milan last season after founding back of the net five times and racking up seven assists in 45 games for the club.

AS Roma keen on to sign 28-year-old Man Utd defender

Jose Mourinho keen on to bring Man United out-of-favour defender Eric Bailly to AS Roma this summer and he could do so for under £10m, according to the reports.

The 28-year-old defender has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford and his first-team minutes look to be as few and far between as ever in the forthcoming campaign.

Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire and summer signing Lisandro Martinez will all be picked ahead of the Ivorian in the middle of the defence and Bailly looks likely to depart from the club.

Mourinho was in charge of the Red Devils when Bailly arrived at Old Trafford in 2016 and played more in that first campaign under the Portuguese than in any other season since then.

The Mirror claim that AS Roma boss could get his man for under £10m this summer as the Red Devils look to clear out a number of fringe players under new head-coach Erik ten Hag.

It would represent a huge loss on the defender who they paid around £30m for in 2016 and has made just 113 games for the team in all competitions in six campaigns.

Ten Hag wants to make more additions this summer and get rid of several players this summer.
