Man Utd set to prioritise the signing of highly-rated English duo
Premier League ignts Manchester United reportedly intend to prioritise the signing of Aston Villa’s creative midfielder Jack Grealish and Leicester City’s star James Maddison during the summer transfer window.
While the Red Devils need to add more creativity in the centre of the pitch and on the flanks, Norwegian manager is running out of time to strengthen his team in those areas when the transfer window in January.
Despite the growing frustration at Old Trafford, The Independent reports claim that every effort will be made to secure the services of Jack Grealish and James Maddison later in 2020.
The report claim that the two English midfielders are at the top of the teams shortlist ahead of what is likely to be a busy period at Old Trafford.
Between them, Jack Grealish and James Maddison have founded back of the net 13 times and provided eight assists in the English top-tier this campaign.
While Grealish could cost upwards of £50m, the Foxes are believed to value Maddison in the region of £80m.
Meanwhile, Serie A outfits Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali is reportedly a transfer target for both Liverpool and Manchester United before the end of the January transfer window.
The 19-year-old midfielder who has also been heavily linked with Serie A defending champions, Juventus, played a vital role in Brescia’s promotion from Serie B last campaign and has again been in stunning form this season.

Manchester United failed in a transfer move for Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish earlier this month, according to reports.
The Norwegian manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made Jack Grealish one of his top targets after watching from afar as the playmaker has flourished at Aston Villa.
The 24-year–old attacking-minded midfielder has been Villa’s stand-out performer as they battle Premier League relegation this campaign and would be expected to leave the club this summer if his side slip make a return to Championship.
The Independent claim the Red Devils plan to move for either Grealish or Leicester City’s creative midfielder James Maddison.
The 20-times English champions enquired about signing Grealish in January, however, Aston Villa turned down the approach because of the 24-year-old’s importance to the team.
Red Devil supporters have so far been left bitterly disappointed with the Red Devils transfer business in January after rumblings the team were planning a big January.
Norwegian manager was aiming to sign at least two players, however, after missing out on Erling Haaland and still in talks with Sporting Lisbon over a transfer for Bruno Fernandes, it is now appears unlikely the Red Devils will make a huge impact on their squad this month.

Barcelona set to hijack Man Utd move for £68m-rated midfielder
Man United risk losing their long-term transfer Bruno Fernandes after Barcelona began talks with the agent of the 25-yea-old midfielder.
According to Sky Sports News, La Liga giants prepared to loan the 25-year-old to Valencia for the rest of the current campaign.

Man Utd boss had been desperate for strengthening their midfield options this month given the injuries to Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba, however, now looks set to be forced to make do with the team he has at his disposal.
‘You’re wasting it. So don’t ask it,’ said Solskjaer when asked about Fernandes ahead of tomorrow’s Carabao Cup semi final second leg against Manchester City.
‘I haven’t got any updates for you on transfers. I think it was a waste (of a question). I gave you the option.
‘I haven’t got anything to say now, my mind is on the game.’
