Man Utd in danger to miss out signing of Rennes key midfielder
Liverpool have supposedly joined Man Utd and Real Madrid in the race to secure services of much-coveted Rennes playmaker Eduardo Camavinga.
The 18-year-old burst onto the scene under Julien Stephan last year and still has been a regular for Les Rouge et Noir, founding back of the net once and assisting one more in 30 Ligue 1 games this season.
Camavinga’s existing contract at Rennes expires at the end of the 2021-22 campaign, and he has reportedly decided that he will not extend his deal, so an intense bidding war for his services is now believed to commence this summer.
According to The Express, the Merseyside Reds have now identified the teenager as an ideal signing for the new season, as Georginio Wijnaldum’s impending exit at the end of the season inches ever closer.
The report adds that Jurgen Klopp’s side would have to fend off Real Madrid and Man United for Camavinga’s services, however, Jurgen Klopp will hope to lure the France international to Anfield with the promise of regular first-team football – something he would not be guaranteed of at Old Trafford or the Bernabeu.
Chelsea are also believed to be interested in a deal for Camavinga, who scored his first goal for French national team back in October’s 7-1 friendly thrashing of Ukraine.
Man Utd determined to agree deal for Fiorentina No.4 defender
Manchester United are reportedly still interested in securing the services of Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic during this summer’s transfer window.
Liverpool have also previously been rumoured with an interest in the former Partizan starlet, who has found back of the net three times and provided one assist in 28 Serie A games this season.
The 23-year-old’s deal with his Italian team is set to expire next June, and he has been consistently rumoured with a move away over the last few months.
A recent report suggested that the Red Devils had cooled their interest in the Serbia international as they were keen to pursue other targets in the upcoming transfer market.
However, according to The Sun, the Red Devils are preparing to step up their pursuit of the centre-back in the coming weeks.
The report suggests that Milenkovic will not be signing a new contract with Fiorentina, and the Serie A outfit have set an asking price of £38m.
Liverpool and Manchester United also considering a move for another Serie A star Paulo Dybala who has been rumoured with a departure from defending Italian champions Juventus.
Liverpool are currently battling for the Champions League spot for the next season, while the Red Devils sit second in the Premier League table.
Man Utd and Everton eyeing move for £30m Championship star
Everton are reportedly planning to hijack Man Utd move for Norwich City right-back Max Aarons in the summer transfer window.
The 21-year-old has been in fine form for the Canaries during the 2020-21 campaign, making four assists and scoring only once in 40 Championship games.
Aarons also has previous experience of the English top-tier, turning out on 36 times back in 2019-20.
The Red Devils are believed to be admirers of the England U-21s international as they consider signing a new full-back to the team in the upcoming transfer market in order to increase competition for Aaron Wan-Biasaka.
However, according to The Times, Everton are also firmly in the race for the centre-back, who has a contract at Carrow Road until the summer of 2024.
The report suggests that Norwich City value their key player in the region of £30m – a price that Carlo Ancelotti’s team are currently not prepared to pay.
Bayern Munich and Barcelona are also believed to be huge fans of the youngster and would rivals Man Utd for his services.
Meanwhile, Man Utd also keeping close tabs on another Norwich City star Emiliano Buendia who appears to be on the shortlist of Mikel Arteta as well.
