Man Utd handed massive blow in their pursuit of 25-year-old French midfielder
Juventus chief football officer Fabio Paratici has rubbished rumours that Adrien Rabiot could depart from the club during the summer transfer window despite interest from Arsenal and Man Utd.
The 25-year-old has only joined the Old Lady last summer, but Premier League giants are among the team to be credited with an interest in Frenchman’s services over the last few weeks.
Rabiot has only started 13 Serie A games for Serie A champions, during the 2019-20 season, while he is yet to assist or score any goal for Maurizio Sarri’s team.
However, Paratici has claimed that the Frenchman is “very important” for the team and will be a part of their “future”, ruling out his exit from the Allianz Stadium.
“Let’s not forget that Rabiot is in his first year in Italy, and the first year is always special,” Paratici told Sky Sport Italia.
“At the start of the season, we could see the same doubts over Matthijs de Ligt, who happened to be the best defender in the Champions League (with Ajax last season) at the age of 19. Now I see there is a different opinion of him.
“Rabiot also arrived from PSG after six months of inactivity. He had to catch up with his physical condition. That said, he is a great player, someone who is very important for Juventus today and will be for the future.”
Rabiot’s current deal in Turin is set to expire until the end of the 2022-23 season.
Dortmund confident to keep 17-goals forward at the club despite Man Utd interest
Borussia Dortmund are seemingly becoming increasingly confident of keeping England international forward, Jadon Sancho at the club ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.
The 20-year-old has been in fine form for Dortmund during the 2019-20 season, founding back of the net 20 times and providing 20 assists in 44 games in all competitions.
Manchester United continue to be rumoured with the England international forward, and the 20-times English champions are allegedly preparing to offload four players to sign the versatile forward.
However, German giants, Dortmund’s head of the licensed player division Sebastian Kehl has rejected suggestions that former Manchester City forward could depart from Signal Iduna Park this month.
“We expect Jadon to play with BVB next season and we’re all very happy with the quality that he brings to our side and the difference that he can make,” Kehl told Sport Buzzer before confirming that the club had not yet received any offers.
Liverpool and Chelsea have also been rumoured with a player who has a deal at Signal Iduna Park for one more year and rather risking to lose him for free it seems that Dortmund might consider his transfer ahead of the 2019/20 season.
Man Utd on alert: Ajax chief drops hint about departure of three key players
Dutch giants, Ajax boss Erik ten Hag has acknowledged that three of his key players could be sold when the transfer window will be re-opened in the summer.
Despite the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic, Man Utd and Chelsea have both linked with the likes of Andre Onana, Nicolas Tagliafico and Donny van de Beek.
Although Ten Hag has acknowledged that neither of the trio will be allowed to depart from the club on the cheap, he has revealed that requests have been made that players want to take new challenges.
Speaking to Het Parool, Ten Hag said: “The transfer market will start in August. The top leagues are now being played out, so the money flows are maintained. The market value of players will be slightly depressed, but not much.
“Based on their performance and ambition, a number of our players also want to make the move abroad. Agreements have been made with Andre Onana, Donny van de Beek and Nicolas Tagliafico, but it must be clear whether the market is indeed breaking loose.
“For Onana and Van de Beek, another year of Ajax could certainly be an option, for Tagliafico it is slightly different because of his age.”
Ajax have already agreed on a deal with Chelsea for Hakim Ziyech who will make the switch to Stamford Bridge on July 1, Adrne Onana and Nicolas Tagliafico have been also on the radar of Frank Lampard.
Man Utd meanwhile continues to be interested in securing the services of Donny van de Beek who has been identified as a possible replacement for Paul Pogba who has been tipped to depart from Old Trafford ahead of the next season.
