Man Utd in danger to miss out signing of 22-year-old Serie A star
Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly set to miss out signing of AC Milan stopper, Gianluigi Donnarumma as the Italian star plans to stay at AC Milan.
The Premier League giants have both been tipped to move for the promising stopper, who has already played close to 250 games for AC Milan despite only being 22-years-old.
Donnarumma set to become a free agent after the end of the current season, however, talkSPORT claims that the youngster has been persuaded to sign a new long-term deal with Italian giants in order to fend off interest from Premier League teams.
It is reported that Donnarumma will earn up to £6m annually when he agrees to sign a new improved contract with AC Milan.
That would also be a major blow for Serie A rivals Juventus, having themselves been touted as a possible destination for the Naples-born stopper.
AC Milan star, Hakan Calhanoglu is also out of contract in the summer, though Milan did manage to tie veteran forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic to a one-year extension last week.
Chalhanoglu has been also a transfer target for Manchester United and Chelesa with both teams are planning to strengthen their midfield options ahead of the next season.
Not Dybala: Man Utd eyeing move for Juventus technically gifted winger
Manchester United are reportedly interested in securing the services of Juventus forward Dejan Kulusevski this summer’s transfer window.
The 21-year-old attacker has been a vital player for the Old Lady during the 2020-21 season, playing 41 games in all competitions, founding back of the net six times, and four assists in the process.
Kulusevski has joined Serie A defending champions on a permanent deal from Atalanta BC in January 2020, however, he spent the 2019-20 campaign on loan with Parma, founding back of the net 10 times and contributing nine assists for the Yellow and Blues.
According to IlBiancoNero, The 20-times English champions have ‘come forward’ for the attacker as they explore the possibility of signing him in the upcoming market.
However, the report suggests the Italian champions have ‘no intention’ of allowing the Sweden international to move on this year as he has only just arrived at the team.
Kulusevski has a deal in Turin until the summer of 2025.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are reportedly keeping a close tabs on the progress of Bayer Leverkusen defender Edmond Tapsoba.
The 22-year-old defender has joined Leverkusen from Vitoria Guimaraes in the winter transfer window 2020 and has played 51 games for the German giants in all competitions, including 29 appearances during the 2020-21 season.
According to The Express, the 20-time English giants have been keeping tabs on the defender after being alerted to his progress by ‘a well-respected figure in Germany’.
Man United identified Barcelona defender as Raphael Varane alternative
Manchester United could reportedly move for Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti during this summer’s transfer window if they are unable to sign a new deal for Real Madrid’s centre-back Raphael Varane.
The Red Devils are expected to be in the market for a new centre-back ahead of the 2021-22 season, and Varane has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford.
However, according to the Manchester Evening News, the 20-times English champions view Umtiti as a potential alternative in the event that they are unable to lure the Real Madrid No.5.
The report suggests that Samuel Umtiti is believed to be available for transfer this summer, having struggled for regular action during the 2020-21 campaign, while Ronald Koeman’s team are keen to trim their wage budget in the coming months following to the financial impact of the coronavirus outbreak.
The 27-year-old has missed a lot of football this season due to a knee problem, playing just 14 games in all competitions for the Catalan club.
Liverpool are also believed to be exploring the possibility of securing the services of French centre-back Samuel Umtiti in the summer.
Man Utd keen on to also agree on a deal for Real Madrid another star Sergio Ramos who is yet to agree on a new contract wit the Los Blancos.
