Manchester United have reportedly sent a scout to keep close tabs on Wolverhampton Wanderers midfield star Ruben Neves.

The Premier League heavyweights, who have recently appointed Erik ten Hag as their new head-coach from next campaign, will make a wide range of additions during the summer transfer window.

With at least one new playmaker on their shortlist, Ruben Neves has been frequently rumoured with a potential move to Old Trafford.

According to BirminghamLive, the Red Devils had an agent present for Wolves’ Premier League matches against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon.

Neves was deemed unlikely to start after a recent knee injury, however, the Portuguese midfielder played the opening 45 minutes before being withdrawn in a pre-planned replacements.

Given the half-time change and Wolves succumbing to a 3-0 loss against the Seagulls, the scout in question would not have been able to learn much about the in-demand 25-year-old, who is also believed to be attracting interest from La Liga giants, Barcelona.

Meanwhile, Leicester City playmaker Youri Tielemans would reportedly choose a move to La Liga giants, Real Madrid over Manchester United and Liverpool this summer.

The ex-AS Monaco midfielder is facing an uncertain future with Brendan Rodgers’s side having entered the final 18 months of his contract at the King Power Stadium.

Tielemans has remained key man for Leicester engine room this campaign, and he is not expected to be short of suitors if he seeks a move away from the FA Cup holders.

The likes of Man Utd, Liverpool and Real Madrid have all been credited with an interest in the 24-year-old midfielder, while Tottenham and Arsenal have also been rumoured with summer swoops.
