Liverpool and Manchester United long-term target Steven Bergwijn is keen to depart PSV this summer in a bid to make a step up in his career.

According to Voetbal International, as cited on Inside Futbol, the forward, who has been rumoured with a move to hosts of European teams, has decided to move on at the end of the current campaign.

The Merseyside Reds have been one of the many teams to be rumoured with a move to bring the attacker to the English top-tier.

The report suggested that Liverpool’s direct Premier League rivals Manchester United, Napoli and Inter Milan are also keen to secure his signature.

In 19 league starts for PSV this campaign, the forward has found back of the net nine times and provided 10 assists, helping his team to the top of the Eredivisie table.

A number of players have failed to show their best form in the English top-tier following a move from the Dutch league in recent years, however, Bergwijn will be hoping to change that if his future does happen to be in England.
