Manchester United set to make move for Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe this summer should a big-money takeover finalise.

The 20-times English champions are believed to delve this summer’s market to recruit a new striker, with Erik ten Hag keen to find a long-term replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo who terminated contract back in November.

Wout Weghorst was signed on loan from Burnley back in January, however, the Dutchman has only scored one goal in 11 appearances.

Man Utd have instead heavily relied on in-form forward Marcus Rashford who has scored 16 goals in 19 games across all tournaments since the World Cup break.

The Red Devils are now believed to be interested in securing the services of another elite goalscorer in the form of French sensation Mbappe.

Mbappe, who has also been rumoured with Liverpool and Real Madrid has found back of the net 27 times in 28 appearances for the Parisian giants in all competitions so far this campaign, while he came away with the 2022 World Cup Golden Boot after scoring eight times at the Qatar tournament, including a hat-trick in the final.
