Man Utd set to make approach for in-demand French midfielder

Manchester City and Manchester United have reportedly identified Ligue 1 giants Lyon defensive midfielder Tanguy Ndombele as a potential transfer target this summer.

Ndombele has emerged as one of the top talents in European football, and the France international has been rumoured with a move the English top-tier this season.

However, the 22-year-old’s midfielders fine form will result in Ligue 1 giants Lyon receiving interest in the player ahead of next campaign, and according to Le10Sport, both Man City and Man Utd intend to strengthen their midfield options with Ander Herrera is likely to depart from Old Trafford.

The report claimed that any interested club will have to pay around £70m to get the deal done for talented French midfielder.

The 22-year-old midfielder still has just under four-and-a-half years left on his current deal at Lyon, however, whether he remains at Lyon could depend on if the team qualify for next season’s Champions League tournament.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are also eyeing move for Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho who is believed to be unhappy with his life at the Catalan club.
