Chelsea are reportedly preparing to battle Manchester United for the services of Hellas Verona defender Marash Kumbulla during the upcoming summer transfer window.
The 20-times English champions continue to be rumoured with the 20-year-old and have allegedly been told that they will have to pay around €25m (£22.9m) if they wish to secure his services ahead of the 2020-21 season.
However, according to The Express, the Blues are also keeping tabs on the Albanian defender, who has a deal with his current team until the summer of 2022.
There is also believed to be interest from Italian outfits Hellas Verona, though, with both Inter Milan and Lazio believed to have been keeping tabs on Kumbulla’s progress since he stepped into the first team.
The promising defender has played 19 games for his Italian club this campaign and scored only once of the 2019-20 season against Sampdoria back in October.
Man City have also previously been credited with a strong interest in the centre-back.
Meanwhile, Manchester United and Chelsea considering a move for another Serie A defender Alessio Romagnoli who has been tipped to depart from Ac Milan at the end of the current campaign in order to play Champions League football.
