Man Utd weighing up January move for AC Milan €38m signing

Manchester United are reportedly planning to make a move for AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek as a replacement for injured Marcus Rashford.

The Poland international, who has also been rumoured with the Spurs, has found back of the net five times in 19 games for his Serie A club during the 2019-20 season.

The Red Devils have been hit with the news that England international forward Marcus Rashford is facing an extended period on the sidelines due to a back injury, leaving their boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer desperately short at the offensive end.

Man Utd have until the end of January to strengthen their squad, and according to The Athletic, Piatek has emerged as one of their top transfer target before the end of the transfer window.

The report suggested that the Red Devils are keen to secure the services of the forward on loan, although Serie A giants would only sanction a move if there is an obligation to buy at the end of the 2019-20 season for a figure in the region of £30m.

Piatek, who found back of the net 19 times in 21 games for Genoa ahead of a move to I Rossoneri, will see his current contract in Italy run until the summer of 2023.
