Man Utd weighing up move for Monaco 6 ft 4 centre-back

Manchester United are reportedly planning to make a move for AS Monaco defender Benoit Badiashile.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has recently confirmed that he is looking to make changes to his team ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window, although the financial implications arising from the coronavirus pandemic could hinder moves for highly-rated attacking players such as Jack Grealish and Jadon Sancho.

The 20-times English champions are supposedly keen to iron out issues at the other end of the pitch as well, and according to RMC Sport, Badiashile is firmly on the Red Devils radar.

The 19-year-old defender has emerged as a regular starter for AS Monaco since his debut back in 2018, with Badiashile turning out 20 times in all competitions for the Ligue 1 giants before the season was cancelled.

The France Under-19 international is under contract at Ligue 1 giants until 2024, though, and Les Monegasques have supposedly already turned down a €15m (£13.6m) bid for the talented defender from fellow Ligue 1 side Rennes.

Bayer Leverkusen and Valencia are also believed to be keeping tabs on the situation.

AS Monaco another star Ben Yedder has been also rumoured with a switch to Old Trafford with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer plans to strengthen every area ahead of the next season.
