Manchester United are reportedly planning to renew their interest in Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong during this summer’s transfer window.
The 20-times English champions spent much of last summer’s market pursuing the Netherlands international, however, were ultimately forced to move their attention elsewhere, with Brazilian midfielder Casemiro arriving from Real Madrid.
South America anchorman has been an influential player for the Red Devils this term, however the club are believed to be keen to move for another high-profile playmaker this summer, with Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham and West Ham United’s star Declan Rice among those to be rumoured with moves to Old Trafford.
However, according to 90min, De Jong stays top of the teams wishlist, and the 20-times English champions are willing to make another push to bring him to Manchester in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The report suggests that the interest is being driven by the Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag, but senior figures at Old Trafford are in agreement that he would be a statement addition.
